In the six performances, which took place in Chengdu, Chongqing, Shanghai, Beijing, Bangkok and Singapore. Yingmei Duan adopts the role of a museum guide and provides a speech about her fictitious upcoming solo exhibition in the year 2015.

The spectators are interactively involved in the fiction of the performative speech as they are taken into Yingmei’s fantasy world. They have the possibility to imagine the described artworks and exhibition spaces, as she narrates.

These performative lectures are conceived site-specifically and relate to the characteristics of the particular environment and culture of each location.

These six performances are a development from a previous performative lecture she gave at Kunstverein Kassel in 2007.
